Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Carol Chukwuka, our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, has built her career treating serious and chronic mental health issues at the community health level. Her journey began as a village health partner in the Peace Corps and includes yoga and meditation training with renowned luminaries, including Deepak Chopra and davidji.
When working with Carol, extensive mental health training and experience are blended with a diverse educational background spanning across the health sciences. Furthermore, she continues to study at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute as part of her dedication to lifelong learning,
Carol specializes in treating complex mental health issues in adults, children, and families, including anxiety, ADHD, and mood disorders, particularly when these are co-occurring with trauma and substance abuse. Her approach is holistic while integrating traditional psychiatric methods, including psychopharmacology.
Outside the clinic, Carol enjoys camping with her husband and twin boys in the summer and skiing in the winter!
