Tim Hillyer, LISW

Mental Health

Tim knew he wanted to be a therapist during his first psychology course thanks to an amazing professor. Since 2010, Tim has worked as an inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment counselor, a psychiatric social worker, a one-on-one psychotherapist and a mental health professional within the public school system. He is patient, relaxed and open-minded which makes him perfect for the job! One of his philosophies is centered around normalizing emotions and feelings that we sometimes feel are unique to us because it helps remove the stigma.

When not working, Tim can be found with his spouse and beagle, Mitzy, on a cruise or traveling the world.

I love helping people learn about themselves. It often leads to developing insight and implementing change, which brings about positivity.
